February Recap and Highlights.

It's weird how February is only a couple days shorter than the other months, but it seems like it flies by.

We had another two-day sew in Lake Havasu city. This month's theme was paper piecing.  This is the pattern:

I am making with green and cream scraps. This is part of my friend Cheryl's... She ended up putting a log cabin border on.  I just have a few blocks made.

We have a 4 day regular sewing retreat in April I think I'll work on then.

I got Dept Supervisor of the month at work....

And celebrated my 5-year anniversary with Home Depot.......

Our new great granddaughter is due at the end of March, so I started her baby quilt.  They are leaning towards naming her Daisy and when I asked my granddaughter said to make something with daisies.  So, here's the top I need to sandwich and quilt.

And I did my February Machine Embroidery blocks for the Kimberbell Mystery BOM.

I have an embroidery retreat at the first of April (my first) and I think I'll work on "Hopping Down the Bunny Trail" by Kimberbell.

I have been cutting all the fabric pieces for all the blocks and prepping them.  I am new to the embroidery machine, so I've been practicing and prepping stuff, I don't want to go and act like a dummy.  Each piece of fabric is cut and starched and has the Fusible on the back.  This pattern is for a bench pillow.  However, I think I'll make it as a wall hanging, with two big dogs that get on the couches I don't want them near it. :)

Other than working, cooking and hand stitching with my friends on Saturday mornings that pretty well sums up my month.

Hope you had a good February too.

Blessings, Lynn
