August 2023 Taya, Jorden and Zach

 Hi Kids..

One grandson leaves then the next batch of kids come.  Summer is so fun for our family to come visit.  Taya our daughter and our grandson Zach were able to come and visit for 4 days.  They both had to get back to work so left and then our granddaughter stayed with us an additional week.  Yay!

My Grandson had previously had a mohawk, got a haircut but they didn't do it right.  My daughter tried to fix, but they ended up having to go to another barber to get the fade right.

Day one: Sam's club shopping and go to the movies.  We saw sound of freedom.

The net was up because of our dogs... We hadn't taken it down.

Day two:  Go to the lake, one of their favorite things to do.  Movies in the after.

Later after we had all cleaned up the dogs were licking and loving on Zach, Grandpa told his girl friend he had girls kissing on him.  His girlfriend was not real happy, then Grandpa sends her these pictures.

Day three:  Oatman.  Doesn't matter how many times they have been there, they always like going back.  This time however we tried out the Oatman Hotel Restaurant.
They have fun little bank robbery skit on the weekends

Inside the restaurant

The burros roam freely.  You can purchase food to feed them.

Afterwards we came home and had the traditional "Breakfast Tostadas"  for dinner.  Then we played some Yahtzee and watched movies on TV.

Day four:  Church before we take Taya and Zach to the airport.

Between church and before we had to leave...

To Vegas and home again.

Day five:  Just the 3 of us now... Grandpa, Jorden and I.  Grandpa was blessing Jorden every morning by taking her to Dutch Bros to get special coffee... I will post more about this in a little bit. Grandpa went golfing Jorden and I went for pedicures.

You know it's bad when they bring out a cheese grater.  LOL..  Really it has only been 4 months.  But the result ending up being very good.

We finished off the evening with dinner and a movie.  Jorden was on a mission trip at the first of the year in Thailand.  She wanted us to watch the movie "Burma Rangers"  it was very touching.

Day six:   The lake - different spot.  We packed up food and headed out again.  I think I may be getting a little color. Thats quite a chore.

We got cleaned up and then went to Sam's to pick up a few more groceries.. and had a slice of pizza there for dinner.  We came home and watched a movie. I can't remember all of them we did one each night.  We watched Crazy Rich Asians, War Room, Courageous, Forest Gump... and there was another one I think.

Day Seven:   Grandpa went golfing again, Jorden I just relaxed.  I did a little sewing.  She and her Mom wanted the Christmas quilt I made so I put the binding on it.  But I don't think it's going to fit in her luggage, so I'll need to mail it.  It's hard to see but the gold is Metalic.

After Grandpa came home we had dinner and watched a movie.

Day Eight:  Lake day again.  We went to same place we did on Tuesday.

Grandpa fished for a while before getting into the water.  I have to say this was such a wonderfully relaxing day.

Jorden and Artie chilling after the lake day.  We went to Foodie Grill for dinner and then watched movies before bed.
Day Nine: Grandpa's golf day.  Jorden and I relaxed again.  I did a little sewing and she talked to her friends back home.  I had her dray me an elephant that I saw with a flower so I could put it on a quilt.  Here's the applique I made out of it.
Day 10:  We took Jorden to Lake Havasu City so she could see the London Bridge.  And of course, we had to have lunch.

There was a little gift shop next to the restaurant Jorden and I went in and looked around they had some neat metal art in there that I liked. They also had some neat jewelry.  Grandpa and I bought Jorden a pretty little turquoise bracelet.  I didn't get a picture of it though.

Day Eleven:  Today we took Jorden back to Las Vegas to fly home. Bitter sweet.  It's been a wonderful vacation and wonderful memories made.

Okay remember I said I would tell you more about the morning coffee?  Well every morning when they went to get the coffee, the dogs would ride along.  (They would go in the new big pickup) but each time they went, the coffee place would give the dogs a "Pup Cup"  it is whipped cream with a dog biscuit on top.
Well fast forward a couple of days, Grandpa was getting ready to pull the car in the garage from the driveway and looks back...
We sent this picture to Jorden and told her the dogs were missing their Pup Cup.  They were ready and waiting for her.  :)

Have a blessed day!!
