B.A.D. Retreat 2019

This retreat started 15 years ago with a handful of ladies from the Las Vegas, Henderson, Boulder City, NV area.  Over the years it has changed and grown, participants have come and gone and new ones have joined.  I think there are only 2 of the original members, my friends Cheryl and Patty and a couple more that have been with it from the early years.   B.A.D. stands for "Bad Ass Divas." As we are all aging I don't know how true that is but we give it a go.
Above (L to R) Liz and Ann from California.
Above (L to R) Olga from CA, Linda from Fort Mohave, a snowbird from Washington.

Above (L to R) Susan from Las Vegas, and Susie from Bullhead City.
Above (L to R) Linda, and Glenda from Lake Havasu City, and Annette Fort Mohave, (our Cottage sewing host)
Above (L to R) Gloria from Laughlin NV, and Sandi from Bullhead City.
Suzy,  Laughlin NV, a snowbird from Michigan.
Ronni, Bullhead City.
In the stripes, Jean from Fort Mohave.

Above is Vickie and her Aunt Peggy - Vickie lives in Laughlin and Auntie lives in Lake Havasu.
Above - is a side picture of Sis (Randi) a snow bird from Oregon, staying in Bullhead City.  In the background is Cheryl.
On the left in turquoise is Patty from Boulder City and on the right with the white sweater is Teri from Henderson.
I didn't get a picture of Debbie, Katie, Pam or myself.
We had a couple of challenges this time, the Air Conditioning broke and it took them a day and a half before they could fix it.  That is why the tables in the picture above are pushed almost together.  They were working in the ceiling and had a ladder behind the table on the right. At one point a wrench fell from above and hit Suzy's chair.  That could have been really bad if it had hit her. Despite how miserable it was to be that hot, everyone was very upbeat and understanding. And I must say, the hotel was very attentive to us.
Linda whom couldn't make it this year and Cheryl have been putting on this retreat for the last few years. A couple years ago they asked me to join them to give my two cents and be an extra. I did help with the planning and a few of the gifts we gave out but Cheryl did most of the rest of the work.  A few of us had to laugh -I told her I would help her gather sort and bag the gifts but wouldn't be able to help until the following Tuesday.  On the Friday before, I get a text that she's going to go ahead and do it.  She's our over achiever.
I will make another post showing gifts, and some of our projects we worked on.
Blessings,
Lynn
